Dear Penhurst Predator Families,

We are officially just one week away from the first day of the season, and we are so excited to see everyone back on deck! We can’t wait to kick off another fun and memorable summer with all of our swimmers and families.

A few reminders as we get ready for the season to begin:

Practice Times

Please make sure your swimmer attends the correct practice group based on their age as of May 31, 2026. Please note there will be no practice on the last day of school.

May 4th – May 19th (Afternoon Practices)

• 6 & Under: 4:00–4:30 PM
• 7–8 Years: 4:30–5:00 PM
• 9–10 Years: 5:00–5:30 PM
• 11 & Up: 5:30–6:00 PM

May 21st – June 22nd (Morning Practices)

• 6 & Under: 8:30–9:00 AM
• 7–8 Years: 9:00–9:30 AM
• 9–10 Years: 9:30–10:15 AM
• 11 & Up: 10:15–11:00 AM

On the day after swim meets (typically Wednesdays, except after the first meet), all swimmers will participate in a fun swim from 10:00–11:00 AM instead of regular practice times.

Families who signed up for afternoon practices after school ends will practice on Mondays and Wednesdays from either 5:00–5:30 PM or 5:30–6:00 PM. A separate email with details will be sent to those families.

Swimsuits
Team suits can be ordered through Swim Outlet by clicking here. The suit design is the same as last year. Team suits are optional and do not need to be worn to practice—many families save them for meets. All orders ship directly to your home.

Inclement Weather & Team Alert Notifications
Important updates, including weather cancellations and delays, will be sent through SwimTopia. We encourage families to download the app for quick alerts, meet results, and swimmer performance updates. Login credentials are the same ones used during registration. Notifications will also be sent to your registration email address.

Parking
Please park in the clubhouse parking lot first. Once full, park on only one side of the street and never on grass or blocking mailboxes or driveways. Please avoid parking on the bend near the lake to help traffic flow safely. Most importantly, drive extra slow during practices and meets, as children will be entering and exiting frequently.

What to Bring on the First Day
Restrooms are available for changing, but swimmers should arrive in their suits and ready to begin practice at their assigned time. Please bring goggles, a towel, sunscreen, and a labeled water bottle. Floaties are not allowed during practice. If this is a concern for your swimmer, please reach out to discuss options.

Important Pool & Team Reminders

• A parent must be present for all children under 10 years old.
• Swim team membership does not equal pool membership. Pool access outside of swim team activities is limited to Penhurst residents only.
• Swimmers may only be in the water during their assigned practice time, including on the stairs or shallow areas while another group is practicing.
• Dry off completely before entering the clubhouse or restrooms to help protect the floors.
• Clean up after yourselves before leaving.
• If you open an umbrella, please close it before leaving.
• Children may not be left unattended in the clubhouse.
• Residents may not share clubhouse doors or gate codes.
• Pool gate doors cannot be propped open.

Helping Practices Run Smoothly & Safely
To help practices run safely and efficiently, please avoid talking with coaches during practice times so they can keep all eyes on the water, especially during 10 & Under practices.

We are excited to kick off the season with Coach Zack and the rest of the coaching team! Many of our coaches have been swimming and coaching at Penhurst for years, and we are thrilled to have such an experienced group leading our swimmers this season. Lastly, we would love for returning swimmers to wear their favorite vintage Penhurst team shirt to school on the first day of practice to help swimmers recognize teammates and build excitement for the start of the season! Let’s GREEN IT OUT next Monday!
