PINK OUT!

Pink Out Fundraiser 6/23

The last swim meet of the season, all CSSL teams will have a “Pink Out” theme!

We hope that on this night, swimmers and parents will come together, donate, wear pink, and show support for all of the other families that have been affected by breast cancer.

Additional opportunities to participate in raising money to support the Georgia Alliance for Breast Cancer to be communicated throughout the season

CSSL is selling shirts & swim caps, as well as accepting donations to raise money to support the Mission of the Georgia Alliance for Breast Cancer.

To order and/or donate, click HERE

Swim coordinators will receive the merchandise centrally and will distribute before the last meet of the season so you can wear them to our PINK OUT meet!

🏊 Dive Into Penhurst’s Swim-a-Thon Challenge! 🌊

Join us for an exciting and impactful event that combines fitness, fun, and philanthropy. Our swim-a-thon is more than just a swim—it's an opportunity to support a great cause. Penhurst is proud to host our first annual swim-a-thon to benefit our team and the non-profit Georgia Alliance for Breast Cancer. Penhurst is a longtime supporter of Cobb County Summer League's (CCSL) Pink Out to raise money for Georgia Alliance for Breast Cancer which provides breast cancer education, screening, education, and support for Georgians. Together with CCSL, over $21,000 has been raised to help local men and women fight breast cancer.

    When is the Swim-a-Thon?

Penhurst will host their first annual swim-a-thon June 13, 2025, during regular practice times. Six and under swimmers will swim for 15 minutes and 7 and over swimmers will swim for 30 minutes. Swimmers will provide their own counter and can take as many breaks as they’d like.

    What Is a Swim-a-Thon?

A swim-a-thon is a fundraising event where participants swim laps to raise money for our team or a charitable cause. Swimmers seek pledges from family, friends, encouraging them to contribute per lap swum or a flat donation amount.

    Why Participate?

  • Support Our Team: Funds raised will help cover new diving blocks for our pool.
  • Give Back: Leslie Guggenheim’s team for the 2-day Georgia Walk for Breast Cancer held by Georgia Alliance for Breast Cancer.
  • Earn Prizes: Swimmers can earn exciting rewards based on their fundraising efforts and lap achievements.
  • Build Community: This event fosters camaraderie among participants and strengthens our local community bonds.

How It Works

  1. Fundraise: Reach out to your network to gather pledges. Call, email, visit friends, family, neighbors, or businesses and ask them if they will sponsor you for the Penhurst Swim-a-Thon. They can make a one-time flat donation (collect this now) or they can pledge to give per lap (one lap = 25 yards – collect this after the swim).
  2. Swim: On the event day, swim as many laps as you can within the designated time. Swimmers 6 and under will swim for 15 minutes. Swimmers 7 and over will swim for 30 minutes. Please bring your own counter and take as many breaks as you’d like. On June 13th, bring your pledge sheet with you. Make sure you take a picture, so you know how much to collect after your swim!
  3. Celebrate: Enjoy the sense of accomplishment and community spirit and collect a special treat! And then collect any money that was pledged!
  4. Collect: Collect pledge donations and turn in all money by June 23rd for an opportunity to earn prizes. You may use Venmo, cash, or checks made out to Penhurst Predators Swim Team. Prizes will be awarded at the June 27th swim party to the top fundraisers and lap swimmers in each age group. A donation minimum of $25 is required to be eligible for prizes.
