Penhurst Swim Team Weekly Update- 6/22/26
Hello Penhurst Families!
The final week of the 2026 swim season is here! It’s hard to believe how quickly the summer has flown by. We’ll kick off the week with our final regular season meet tomorrow, cheer on our swimmers competing at the Patti Wilder State Qualifying Meet this weekend and then celebrate an incredible season together at our End-of-Season Party next Tuesday.
There’s a lot happening this week, so keep reading for all the important details and reminders.
Home Meet Tomorrow vs. Hampton Farms (PINK OUT MEET!)
Warm up time is moved up slightly to give time for our youngest Penhurst Predators to showcase their amazing swimming. See below for schedule.
Parking & Seating: Please follow the signs in the neighborhood and only park on one side of the street. If possible, please carpool or walk if in the neighborhood. Do not drive on grass in yards or neighborhood common areas. Our home team seating area will be on the far end of the deck. We will designate the visiting team area under the pavilion and that side of the deck.
Concessions: We will have pizza, chick fil a sandwiches, hamburgers, hotdogs, and all the standard concessions foods available. We accept cash, credit cards, and Venmo.
Warmups: 4:50 p.m.
Our Penhurst Guppy Meet: 5:20
Start: 6:00 p.m.
Coaches vs. Parents Relays @ Tomorrow’s Meet:
Let’s end the regular season with some fun! We’re looking for parent relay teams to race after Event 46 around 7:45 p.m. Each swimmer will swim 25 yards freestyle, and the kids love cheering on their parents from the sidelines. Interested? Email [email protected] to join the fun.
We’ll also have an Alumni Coaches Relay Team featuring Coach Jacob, Coach Karina, Coach Kaia, and Coach Buddy, who are all coming back to visit and race with us for the evening!
Volunteers Needed for Tuesday's Home Meet
Home meets truly require all hands-on deck, and we still have several volunteer positions that need to be filled for Tuesday's meet. We cannot begin the meet until all required volunteer roles are covered, so please consider stepping up if you haven't had a chance to volunteer yet this season.
One position we are especially looking to fill is Meet Starter. Don't let the title intimidate you—it is actually one of the best seats in the house! You'll have a front-row view of every race, and the job is much easier than it sounds. In fact, it can be done by two people: one volunteer announces, "Swimmers, take your mark," while the other pushes the button on the bullhorn. That's it! Please login and see which positions are still available. Attached is the current job sign up as it stands today. A huge thank you to all of the volunteers who stood in the rain and kept things running smoothly during last week's meet. We are incredibly grateful for your willingness to help.
We would also like to give a special shoutout to our Concession Stand Master, Efee Owh! Efee works tirelessly behind the scenes preparing for our home meets and keeps the concession stand running throughout the evening. If you see Efee at the pool, please take a moment to thank her for everything she does to support our team!
End of Season Party at the Pool 6/30
End of season party will be at the Penhurst pool from 5-7 on Tuesday, June 30th. Our traditional paper plate awards will be given out by the coaches along with a season gift. We will have pizza, snacks, drinks, and cake. Please help us out and let us know who in your family will be there so we can plan food accordingly. We are also asking for some help setting up, cleaning up, and requesting a few items. Please login on the main Penhurst meet schedule page to rsvp and sign up for an item.

PIE THE COACHES
The tradition continues! If your swimmer would like a chance to pie a coach at the end of season party raffle tickets are now being sold! $5 per raffle ticket gives your swimmer a chance to pie their favorite coach and goes toward end of season coach bonuses. You can Venmo @PenhurstPredators (Penhurst HOA) to purchase raffle tickets. Please include your swimmer’s name in the transaction notes. If you don’t have Venmo, coordinators will be around practice this week to handle cash or credit cards if you’d like to use those forms of payment. You can purchase as many raffle tickets as you’d like!!
